DC Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS)
DYRS is the agency within the District of Columbia responsible for providing security,
supervision, residential, and community support services for juvenile offenders.  Mentoring
ToDAY works in tandem with DYRS to provide mentors to youth.
DC Kids Count Collaborative for Children and Families
The DC Kids Count Collaborative advocates for the interests and well-being of children and
families to ensure their healthy development and future in the District of Columbia.  Mentoring
ToDAY supports DC Kids Count Collaborative in the production of their annual
Fact Book, which
is a comprehensive data source for indicators of child well-being in the District.
Fair Chance
Fair Chance strengthens community-based organizations that serve children and families in
Washington, DC.  By partnering with promising nonprofits to build their capacity, Fair Chance
strives to ensure that underserved children have access to quality programs that will enable
them to follow their dreams.  Fair Chance accepted Mentoring ToDAY as a partner organization
in the fall of 2006 and continues to support our efforts.
Free Minds Book Club & Writing Workshop
Free Minds introduces young inmates at DC Jail to the transformative power of books and
creative writing.  Free Minds and Mentoring ToDAY collaborate on projects such as curriculum
development and the identification of services for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated youth.
Greater DC Cares
Greater DC Cares connects Mentoring ToDAY with non-monetary resources, such as skilled
volunteers and in-kind donations, which extend our service capacity and provide a vehicle for
program expansion.
Youth Connections, Children's National Medical Center
Youth Connections partners with Mentoring ToDAY in providing prevention services and a
continuum of care for youth infected with and/or affected by HIV/AIDS.
Sidley Austin LLP
Sidley Austin LLP, an internationally renowned law firm, provides pro bono legal services for
Mentoring ToDAY.
DC Alliance for Youth Advocates
Mentoring ToDAY is a member of the DC Alliance for Youth Advocates, which supports policies,
programs, and practices that promote and propel youth into productive and healthy adulthood.
